It has been almost a month since our last blog. Abson made it back safely from Thailand on August 14th, and we left Wilmore to come to Jamaica on August 19th, 2006. It was a great feeling to be home. We started working right away and conducted orientation for the students (Aug 23-25). Classes started on August 28th. Abson is teaching Introduction to the Bible and Homiletics, Lara is teaching Pentateuch and Greek. Introduction to the Bible is an intensive course, which will end on Friday. With that arrangement, Abson hopes to have enough time to work on accreditation matters and his research.
Daniella is doing well. She has two new teeth, which brings her total to eight. She is enjoying herself. We are blessed to have Dr Clifford Van Sickle from Oklahoma Wesleyan University visiting with us. He is teaching Speech and Communication as an intensive course as well. He and Daniella have become the best of friends.
We will write more later. We wanted to touch base with you all and let you know that we are ok.
Cela fait presque un mois depuis qu’on s’est communiqués. Abson a retourné sain et sauf de Thailand le 14 août, et on a laissé Wilmore a destination de la Jamaïque le 19 août, 2006. C’était une grande joie d’être de retour à la maison. On s’est mis au boulot des notre retour avec l’orientation des étudiants (23 au 25 août). Les classes ont débuté le 28 août. Abson enseigne L’Introduction à la Bible et La Prédication, Lara enseigne le Pentateuque et le Grec. L’Introduction à la Bible est un cours intensif qui prendra fin ce Vendredi. De cette façon, Abson espere qu’il aura assez de temps pour s’occuper de l’accréditation et de ses recherches.
Daniella se porte très bien. Elle a deux dents de plus, et huit en tout. Elle est très enthousiaste. Nous nous réjouissons de la visite de Dr Clifford Van Sickle de Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Il enseigne La Communication comme un cours intensif aussi. Daniella et lui sont devenus de très bons amis.
Nous écrirons beaucoup plus à une prochaine occasion. Nous voulions seulement vous faire savoir que tout va bien de notre coté.
Прошел почти месяц с того дня, когда мы в последний раз пополняли наш блог в Интернете. Абсон благополучно вернулся из Таиланда 14 августа, и мы уехали из Вилмора на Ямайку 19 августа 2006 года.
Было просто здорово снова оказаться дома. Мы сразу же начали работать и провели сбор студентов 23-25 августа. Занятия начались 28 августа. Абсон преподает Введение в Библию и Проповедь 1. Лара преподает Пятикнижие и Греческий язык. Введение в Библию – интенсивный курс, который закончится в пятницу. Это дает Абсону основание надеяться на то, что у него будет достаточно времени для подготовки материалов для аккредитации колледжа, а также для работы над диссертацией.
Даниэлла поживает хорошо. У нее появилось два новых зуба, и таким образом, теперь их у нее восемь. Она наслаждается жизнью в компании с доктором Клиффордом Ван Сиклом из Оклахомского Веслеанского Университета, который сейчас у нас в гостях. Он ведет интенсивный курс « Речь и Общение». Они с Даниэллой стали самыми хорошими друзьями.
Немного погодя мы напишем еще. Мы хотели просто напомнить вам всем о себе и сообщить вам, что у нас все в порядке.
